About Laura

 

Training, Education and Experience: 

I am a DONA certified Birth and Postpartum Doula,  a Certified Childbirth Educator through the Academy of Childbirth Educators,  and a Certified Breastfeeding Educator. I have a B.S. in Child and Family Development and am a member of DONA (Doulas of North America) and Doulas of Greater Kansas City (DGKC).  

 

I have been married for 23 years and am the mother of five creative and amazing children.  When pregnant with my first, I faced many fears and concerns and it was working through those that I realized my love for the birth process.

 

I believe that all women deserve to have the nurturing and support that allows them to experience birth in the way that most allows them to feel most safe and loved.  I work with you to create an environment where you make this happen.
